Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using ScrinoAI. These Terms govern your use of the Platform and form a legally binding agreement between you and ScrinoAI. If you are using the Platform on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ScrinoAI ("the Platform") at scrino.ai, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Platform. These Terms apply to all users including HR Users (account holders) and Candidates (interview participants). Use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

2. Description of Service

ScrinoAI provides an AI-powered automated candidate screening platform. The Platform enables HR Users to create hiring drives, share interview links with candidates, and receive AI-generated evaluation reports. Candidates complete automated, audio-based AI interviews via the Platform. ScrinoAI reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time with reasonable notice to active users.

3. Account Registration (HR Users)

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
You must notify us immediately at support@scrino.ai if you suspect unauthorised access to your account
One account per organisation is recommended; accounts are non-transferable
You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account

4. Credits and Payments

Credit Purchase:

The Platform operates on a pre-purchased credit model. One credit = one AI-evaluated interview
New accounts receive 5 complimentary credits upon signup
Credits are purchased via Razorpay and stored in credit buckets tied to your account
Multiple credit plans can be active simultaneously; credits are consumed on a FIFO basis

Credit Deduction:

A credit is deducted when a candidate successfully begins an interview session
Credits are not deducted for drive creation, activation, or sharing of interview links
If a candidate's resume fails to parse, the interview proceeds without resume questions and a credit is still consumed

Refund Policy:

All credit purchases are final. No refunds are offered in the current version of the Platform
Unused credits remain valid until their stated expiry date
ScrinoAI reserves the right to introduce a refund policy in a future release

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Platform to:

Discriminate against candidates on the basis of age, gender, religion, caste, nationality, disability, or any other protected characteristic
Conduct interviews for roles that do not exist or for purposes other than legitimate hiring
Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract the Platform's AI models or evaluation logic
Share interview links publicly or in a manner that allows unauthorised access
Upload malicious files or attempt to compromise Platform security
Use evaluation reports in any manner that violates applicable employment or data protection law

Violation of acceptable use policies may result in immediate account suspension without refund.

6. Candidate Terms

By beginning an interview, you confirm that all information provided is accurate to the best of your knowledge
You consent to your audio responses being recorded, transcribed, and evaluated by AI
You understand that the AI evaluation is one input into a hiring decision and does not constitute a final hiring outcome
Interview sessions cannot be paused or resumed in the current version. Refreshing mid-interview may result in loss of progress
You may not attempt to complete an interview on behalf of another person

7. AI Evaluation Disclaimer

ScrinoAI's evaluation engine provides automated assessments based on candidate responses. These assessments are intended as a structured screening tool to assist HR decision-making — not as definitive hiring judgments. HR Users remain fully responsible for all hiring decisions made using ScrinoAI reports. ScrinoAI does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for purpose of any evaluation output. AI evaluation scores should be used alongside, not as a replacement for, human judgment, legal compliance checks, and applicable employment law obligations.

8. Intellectual Property

All Platform software, design, AI models, evaluation logic, and content are the intellectual property of ScrinoAI
HR Users retain ownership of the job descriptions, drive content, and candidate data they upload
Candidates retain ownership of their resumes and personal data
ScrinoAI is granted a limited licence to process uploaded content solely for the purpose of delivering the service
You may not reproduce, redistribute, or commercially exploit any part of the Platform without written consent

9. Data and Privacy

Use of the Platform is governed by our Privacy Policy, available at scrino.ai/privacy-policy. By using the Platform, you agree to the collection and use of data as described therein. HR Users are responsible for ensuring their use of candidate data collected through the Platform complies with applicable data protection and employment laws in their jurisdiction.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ScrinoAI shall not be liable for:

Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Platform
Hiring decisions made by HR Users based on AI evaluation reports
Data loss resulting from candidate session interruptions or technical failures
Loss of credits due to candidate actions outside ScrinoAI's control
Any damages exceeding the total amount paid by the HR User in the 3 months preceding the claim

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ScrinoAI, its team, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your violation of these Terms, misuse of the Platform, or any hiring decisions made using our evaluation reports.

12. Termination

ScrinoAI reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms. You may close your account at any time by contacting support@scrino.ai. Upon termination, your access to the Platform will cease. Unused credits are forfeited upon termination due to policy violations. Data retention after closure is governed by our Privacy Policy.

13. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Mumbai, Maharashtra. We encourage you to contact us first at support@scrino.ai to resolve any dispute informally before initiating legal proceedings.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be published at scrino.ai/terms with a revised "Last Updated" date. Active HR Users will be notified via email. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
